Revised production flow with the alfa Media PDF Workflow

Thursday 03. July 2008 - Safer production processes and simplified processes - these are two advantages that alfa Media's PDF workflow offers the user.

As usual pictures in many different formats are committed to alfa OpenMedia CMS, from here they are available to the different applications for positioning and usage. alfa PageServer PDF creates a complete PDF for InRIP-Separation and output of plates for the press, to be used in the following processes.

The most important advantages are:

Increase in the stability of the production flow
Steps of converting between dataformats are omitted through the complete avoidance of Postscript and EPS (e.g. “Transforming PDF to EPS” or “Postscript-pages transformed to PDF”)
Avoiding the OPI process
Platform independent file format that can be read at all times, everywhere.
