WorkflowOne and GSSI Announce Strategic Sourcing Partnership

Monday 16. June 2008 - WorkflowOne, the nation’s leading provider of managed print and promotional solutions, has signed a strategic sourcing partnership agreement with Global Sourcing Solutions, Inc. (GSSI) to provide international sourcing and support for WorkflowOne. The agreement gives WorkflowOne access to GSSI’s global network of suppliers while providing GSSI with exposure to WorkflowOne’s extensive sales organization.

GSSI, based in Orange County, Calif., is a privately held international sourcing company that has vast experience working with offshore suppliers, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
GSSI will work closely with WorkflowOne’s strategic sourcing group to identify and respond to opportunities developed by the company’s sales force. By working together with GSSI, WorkflowOne will recommend appropriate offshore suppliers and be accountable for managing production from beginning to end. Initially, GSSI and WorkflowOne will concentrate on printing and packaging opportunities that bring value to WorkflowOne’s client base.
“Our relationship with GSSI will extend the capabilities of WorkflowOne’s sales force and allow them to offer a broader array of products and services from a global supply chain,” said John Nicely, vice president of strategic sourcing at WorkflowOne. “By aggregating our clients’ spend, we will be able to give individual customers global purchasing power for their print and promotional products.”
GSSI will employ its contingent of In-Country Managers (ICMs) to monitor production, manage quality control and testing, and oversee logistics planning in close contact with its own U.S.-based customer service team. These teams, fluent in many languages, will work diligently to ensure that specifications and production requirements are understood and correctly executed in the field.
“We have a long history of great success migrating production from one location to another, thereby saving our clients’ time, effort and expense,” said James Letzel, CEO and president of GSSI. “We fully expect to put that experience to use for WorkflowOne in order to build a deeper and more intrinsically valuable service platform for their client base.”
