High quality cutting plates from Sandvik with exceptional flatness and excellent wear resistance
Friday 13. June 2008 - Showing for the first time at Drupa 2008 is the new range of Sandvik high quality cutting plates for flat bed diecutting presses, which combine exceptional flatness with excellent wear resistance.
Manufactured with high accuracy on hardness, flatness and dimensional tolerance, the new Sandvik Cutting Plates are ideal for precise cutting with high quality cutting rules.
Two versions are available with plate hardness designated Hard and Medium Hard. The Hard cutting plates have a hardness value of 550 +/- 25 HV (52 +/- 2 HRC), while the Medium Hard a hardness value of 350 +/- 25 (36 +/- 2 HRC).
The new cutting plates are available in widths up to 1200 mm, thicknesses from 1.0 up to 1.4 mm and lengths to suit any flat bed cutting press. Flatness and straightness deviation of the plates is the best available in the market at 0.1% maximum of the strip width and 0.5 mm/meter max, respectively. Thickness and width variation is negligible, but does not exceed 0.015 mm and +/- 0.60 mm.
All Sandvik Cutting Plates are laser cut for accuracy, laser marked with product name and dimensions and can be supplied with rounded corners if required.
They are produced for manufacturer specific, flat bed diecutting presses, with guaranteed repeatability and dimensional precision from one order to the next.
Sandviks integrated production from initial melt through to manufacture of the finished strip steel results in close control of the material throughout the production cycle ensuring the high quality and accuracy of the cutting plates.
