Top-class referees at the international "Women in Print" gathering (left to right): Hisako Shindo, President of the Japanese print shop Shindo Group; Adriana Nuneva, Senior Vice President Global Marketing at Heidelberg; Shelley Gare, journalist in Australia; Marian Salzmann, futurologist, book author and consultant at Porter Novelli, Joan Grace, President of the Print New Zealand association and Martina Brand, Head of Marketing at the Print Media Academy.

Tuesday 10. June 2008 - In connection with drupa 2008, the Print Media Academy (PMA) hosted the first international network meeting "Women in Print", which took place in the Sternberg Lounge on June 5, 2008. More than 90 participants, among them Ulrike Schreier, spouse of Heidelberg CEO Bernhard Schreier, followed the interesting lectures.

Women are on the rise – also within the print media industry. This was clearly shown at the gathering, where female executives exchanged words and extended their network. By means of the worldwide Print Media Academy network, Heidelberg will render valuable assistance. All of the participants will be registered in a defined domain on the internet platform XING.

The next “Women in Print” meeting will presumably take place in Japan in 2009.
