POLESTAR ACQUIRES CORBY ASSETS

Tuesday 10. June 2008 - Polestar has acquired assets from Quebecor World in Corby, just two months after an administrator was appointed. The multi-million pound deal covers the 72-page KBA 818 Compacta high speed press with sophisticated Gammerler in line finishing, and post press equipment including two Ferag stitching lines.

Polestar is currently reviewing the options and locations for the machinery, which will be dismantled over the next three-four weeks. Polestar Chief Executive Barry Hibbert says: “This press is just two years old, with significantly fewer ‘miles on the clock’ than it should have over that timeframe, so it is an excellent opportunity for us to respond to our customers requirements, with a significant investment in machinery which will also offer greater efficiency and an enhanced environmental impact.”
