New diecutting products from Sandvik make their debut at drupa 2008

Sunday 08. June 2008 - Showing for the first time at Drupa 2008 on the Sandvik DieCutting Products stand are the new Sandvik Dieflex Platinum rules along with a new range of high quality cutting plates.

With its hard edge, smooth coating, good bendability and excellent performance, Sandvik Dieflex Platinum is outperforming the hardest of rules currently available on the worldwide market.

Critical is the product’s edge hardness, which at 4000 – 5000 HV is five times that of a normal diecutting rule and almost double that of titanium nitride coated cutting rules, yet its bendability is unaffected. It cuts tougher materials at a lower cutting pressure with improved release properties, reducing dusting and offering excellent results on long runs.

More information on the product range is available in a series of datasheets, mailers and brochures, all of which are available on the Sandvik stand throughout the exhibition.

Sandvik DieCutting Products is also exhibiting new high quality cutting plates for flat bed diecutting presses.

Manufactured with high accuracy on hardness, flatness and dimensional tolerances, the new Sandvik Cutting Plates are ideal for precise cutting with high quality cutting rules.

Two versions are available with plate hardness designated Hard and Medium Hard. The Hard cutting plates have a hardness value of 540 +/- 25 HV (52 +/- 2 HRC), while the Medium Hard a hardness value of 350 +/- 25 (35 +/- 2 HRC).

The new cutting plates are available in widths up to 1200 mm, thicknesses from 1.0 up to 1.4 mm and lengths to suit any flat bed cutting press. Flatness and straightness deviation of the plates is the best available in the market, while thickness and width variation is negligible.

Examples of the comprehensive range of Sandvik diecutting products are also on display, including doctor blades and label dies, along with new, dedicated literature.
