New allrounder hot stamping foils
Sunday 08. June 2008 - According to the stamping foil manufacturer Kurz, processors of hot stamping foils have a new favorite: Luxor/Alufin LX, an especially versatile hot stamping foil developed in late 2007. The new product is described as the "all around winner of stamping foils" and is suitable for a diverse range of surfaces in the graphics industry and all machine systems.
“The foil is characterized by its broad application scope, and has also proven to be a problem solver for particularly difficult cases,” explained Wolfgang Burkard, Director of Product Management for the Graphics Industry. Burkard continued, “Our customers have had very good experience with this product. Some of them are using the foil for particularly difficult to stamp rough surfaces, UVcuring lacquers or aqueous dispersion lacquers, and some appreciate its exceptionally good adhesion to substrates that have been laminated with oriented polypropylene (OPP). Others report that they especially like using Luxor/Alufin LX to stamp large-area designs because this easy-to-process product reduces setup and finishing times.”
Another advantage for print finishers is that this foil can be used for a wide variety of jobs, simplifying order processing and saving on delivery times and costs. Burkard assures print finishers that this versatility in no way comes at the
expense of visual appearance. On the contrary, the new foil offers an even higher gloss level than its predecessor. The new foil supercedes the previous Luxor/Alufin LK grade which has been removed from the product range. The LX foils are available from stock in silver and three gold tones and no minimum order quantities apply. Additional colors are available on request.
