Ciba introduces new range of inks for heatset printing at drupa
Sunday 08. June 2008 - Ciba IRGASTAR GF inks combine suitability for a broad range of papers with high gloss and outstanding printing performance New Ciba XYMARA Electra liquid conductive inks for gravure and flexo printing to be demonstrated by MAN Roland
Ciba is launching a new series of inks for heatset printing at drupa, from May 29 to June 11 in Düsseldorf, at stand B56 in Hall 17.
Ciba IRGASTAR GF inks are suitable for a broad range of papers and can be applied with or without alcohol on most printing presses. The inks perform well on high speed presses and have excellent press stability. High gloss, excellent drying performance at high speeds, very good rub resistance and low misting are among the further benefits of IRGASTAR GF inks. The inks achieve a very good ink-water balance and counteract any tendency to blocking, and the blankets have to be cleaned much less frequently than with conventional inks.
Further innovations from Ciba on show at the drupa include a new range of liquid conductive inks for gravure and flexo printing, which will be demonstrated at the MAN Roland stand, no. D28 in Hall 6. Ciba XYMARA Electra LWB waterborne and Ciba XYMARA Electra LSB solventborne inks give high resolution and combine low drying temperatures – down to 80°C – with excellent adhesion, high speed printability and high conductivity.
