BASF increases Prices for Specialties of chemical intermediates

Saturday 07. June 2008 - With immediate effect or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing the sales prices for the chemical specialties Triphenylphosphine and 2-Mercaptoethanol worldwide by 15-20 %. High raw material and energy costs make these price adjustments necessary.

The named specialties are primarily used as intermediates for phar-maceuticals, agrochemicals and plastics. Further applications are cosmetics, soaps & detergents, coatings, textiles, polymers and others.
