Come Fly me to the Moon
Monday 02. June 2008 - After over 40 years service at manroland (MAN Roland for most of that time), Eberhard Leucht enjoyed his last official day of employment reminiscing with old friends from Indonesia on the GWS stand in PrintCity (Hall 6 C45).
Eberhard has become a close and valued business colleague (we dare to go as far as to say friend) to GWS as the person responsible within that organisation for managing the agreement between the two companies. “The co-operation between MAN and GWS has grown on many levels not just sales but finance and technical. I have enjoyed working with the GWS team over the past seven years,” Eberhard said.
Joining him for a fond au revoir – not good bye – was Mr. Misbahul Huda of the Java Post. Eberhard remembered that the first MAN press sold to Java Post was transported by air at a cost of over DM100.000 (about Euros. 50.000 in to-days money). Eberhard remembers “This was the first press we ever transported by plane. The flight stopped in Abu Dhabi to take advantage of cheaper fuel!”
Everyone at GWS joins with our Indonesian friends in wishing Eberhard a long and happy
retirement and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
