Mohawk Seeks Best for New HP Indigo Printer Competition
Friday 30. May 2008 - Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. [Drupa booth 71C51], an HP Preferred Partner, is celebrating work that is printed on HP Indigo presses with its newly launched i-Tonie Awards. From now through December 31, 2008, printers, designers, and merchants may submit entries of projects produced on any of Mohawks i-Tone paper grades and printed on an HP Indigo press.
“In our 10+ years making paper for digital printing, we at Mohawk have seen some phenomenal Indigo printing on our papers. As the print community continues to embrace this platform, we felt it was time to celebrate the extraordinary work being done on our i-Tone family of papers. So we called a few respected colleagues and asked them to help us pick the best of the best. We are confident that this will be a showcase of how paper and digital printing can combine to create high impact printed communications,” said Chris Harrold, Vice President, Market Development, Mohawk Fine Papers.
A distinguished jury of industry professionals will convene to review all entries, seeking projects that exhibit intelligent design, maximization of HP Indigo capabilities, and excellence in production. The jury will select a Best of Show winner, and honorable mentions will be cited for distinctive work. The Best of Show winner will receive $1,000 and honorable mentions will receive $250 each.
Work including, but not limited to, direct mail, books, letterheads, identity systems, and brochures, produced on Mohawk papers between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008, is eligible for entry. Award winners will be announced at the Dscoop Annual Conference in February 2009.
