New measuring system for characterisation of ink water balance

Tuesday 20. May 2008 - Novomatics would like to introduce a new lithographic measuring instrument - the LithoTack. With the LithoTack you can determine the water balance performance of your ink and fount solution under press conditions in the laboratory.

These and more water balance parameters can now be measured quickly and accurately:

· Width and position of water tolerance range
· Interaction with hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces
· Release behaviour of emulsified water
· Linetack as function of water content

Most importantly, the LithoTack operating conditions such as speed, film thickness and temperature are similar to those found
on a printing press. A test takes a few minutes – so you can characterise and optimise your products quickly.
