Construction of the stand has started: “Grow with us.”
Monday 12. May 2008 - Construction of our drupa stand has started on schedule! Here are a few statistics to show you what a huge effort our construction team will be making over the next three weeks in order to
lay 2300m2 flooring for the machine line-up;
lay almost 700m2 flooring on two levels for the visitor area;
drive no fewer than 60 tractor-trailers to Düsseldorf in order to transport our machines to the exhibition center;
drive another 6 trucks with construction material for the stand in Hall 14;
install 350 meters of pipe for the disposal of paper to ensure that around 200 tonnes of paper can be processed smoothly during the trade fair
and lay around 154 meters of network cable and 700 meters of electric cable just in the central area around the stand.
This will take approximately 1200 working hours to complete before the trade fair opens on 29 May 2008 when we will present our new machines to you under the motto “Grow with us.”
The new generation of machines: All will be unveiled
You can expect to find plenty of new features from every business area at the Muller Martini stand B38 in Hall 14.
We will be presenting a new machine family for the mid-range performance segment – the Primera saddle stitcher. This can be tailored to meet our customers special requirements to their complete satisfaction. We will be demonstrating the Presto saddle stitcher for smaller runs, and the tested Supra saddle stitcher with a newly developed trimmer for the high-output range.
In the softcover area, we will be presenting the proven Corona binder with the new gathering machine 3697 for maximum net output. And as an entry-level machine, we will be exhibiting the Pantera perfect binder for the first time with Amrys, the automatic make ready system.
The Ventura book sewing machine and the Diamant book line will also be on display with a new drive concept.
We will be presenting the SigmaLine, the worlds first fully automatic total system for digital book production, with a new workflow system.
The printing press segment will include a demonstration of the infinitely variable size Alprinta V web offset press showing how fast a job change can be carried out on a hybrid machine combining offset and flexo printing.
For newspaper mailroom experts, Muller Martini will be underlining the benefits of the ProLiner System that will be on display with a new add-on component. And there will be presentations of new developments and improvements in the press delivery systems area.
All these exhibits have one thing in common: They feature ultramodern ergonomic design and impressive pioneering technology.
Other Muller Martini exhibits
Muller Martini is also represented in other halls at drupa: A 4-color offset printing press with integrated 2-color digital printing will be demonstrated under production conditions on the Kodak stand in Hall 5 / D01. This will be of interest to printers in the direct mail and security sectors. In Hall 6 / B03, the Palamides stand, Muller Martini will be exhibiting a saddle stitcher in combination with a banding unit. And there will be a demonstration of digital book production with components of the SigmaLine on the Océ stand in Hall 6 / A44 and the Xerox stand in Hall 8b / A78.
