AVT Appoints Glyn Evans Director Customer Support and Operations for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA)
Monday 21. April 2008 - Stronger customer Support Infrastructure for AVT and GMI Product Lines
Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) announces the appointment of Glyn J. Evans as Director Customer Support and Operations for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA). He will manage both AVT’s and GMI’s (Graphic Microsystems, Inc.) customer support activities in the region.
This appointment strengthens AVT’s and GMI’s support infrastructure, and is part of a larger programme to integrate the two companies that started after AVT acquired GMI in October 2007.
Glyn Evans has extensive experience in managing customer support and field operations for international suppliers to the printing industry. Prior to joining AVT, Glyn’s experience included work in Customer Support and Operation management positions for NUR Macroprinters, EFI VUTEk, HP Indigo and Scitex.

Glyn is located in the unified AVT-GMI Customer Support centre in Belgium, supported by a local team of skilled professionals, a newly introduced advanced IT system and a logistics centre to best support the growing activities of AVT-GMI in the EMEA region.
