Macmillan Publishing Solutions, the outsourcing arm of Macmillan India Ltd, announces the immediate acquisition of Compset Inc., based in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Thursday 06. March 2008 - This new MPS East Coast production center brings to the Macmillan organization 30 years of expert onshore capabilities specializing in the area of K-12 full-service production.

The unit is experienced in every el-hi discipline and in every major market segment. These segments include professional, trade, STM, higher education, and journals production. In addition, a large stable of seasoned freelancers, developed over many years, further enriches MPS’s service offerings. These offerings now include el-hi and college developmental editing, art buying and art program management, project management, translation services, design, production, and XML workflows.

Mr. Robert Moschetto, previously the President of Compset, now assumes the role of Vice President, Production Services, of the new East Coast center. This acquisition will be joined with ICC Macmillan, the wholly owned Portland, Oregon subsidiary of Macmillan India Ltd, which was acquired in early 2006.
