Changes in Iggesund management

Friday 22. February 2008 - Recent developments in the Iggesund’s economic and business environment driven by changing consumption trends, exchange rates has led to a reorganisation in order to rise to the challenges in the marketplace. The Sales & Marketing management structure has been changed in order to raise its profile within the organisation.

Three new directors have been appointed to join the General Management Team of Iggesund. Guy Mallinson will lead the European Packaging and Graphics business areas as well as technical service and market communications departments. Robert Giezen, currently in charge of operations in Amsterdam (including Customer Service), will also cover business analysis and control. Arvid Sundblad, logistics director, will in addition manage Tobacco and ROW (rest of world) sales. Oystein Aksnes, Sales & Marketing Director since 2001, has decided to leave the company after 25 years in various positions.
“Given the major marketplace challenges ahead of us, I have felt the need to significantly raise the profile of market matters within the management team,” says Björn Kvick, president of Iggesund Paperboard.
