Chinchio Industria launches into web with Goss M-600 press

Italian commercial sheetfed printer Chinchio Industria Grafica Spa. has made its first investment in web offset printing technology by installing a 16-page Goss M-600 web press. Located in Rubano, Padua, in Northern Italy, the sheetfed printer is enhancing its production capacity to boost market penetration in the high-quality short-to-medium run commercial print sector.
Roberto Chinchio, president at Chinchio Industria Grafica comments, “We are a well-known and reputed sheetfed printer in this region but have been looking for a technology solution that will further differentiate us from the competition. We want to innovate to offer more to our customers, and the new M-600 web offset press allows us to do just that. Through its combined speed and quality, this press gives us a real competitive edge in the borderline sheet/web magazine market while also enabling us to offer a wider variety of products.”
The five-unit Goss M-600 press at Chinchio runs at speeds up to 55,000 iph and features Goss Autoplate automatic plate changing and a JF-55 folder with double parallel and delta fold capacity. It is also equipped with a CS splicer and a VITS sheeter.
Alessandro Chinchio, managing director explains, “The addition of unique technologies such as the Autoplate will ensure that we remain efficient throughout the production process. Time savings and improved turnaround times for our customers make this a very flexible and welcome addition to our stable of existing sheetfed presses.”
In the short time since going in to production, the M-600 press is already performing well. “We have a very clear and forward-thinking strategy for the business and are determined to realize it,” confirms Roberto Chinchio.
