Xplor International Names First CEU Providers
Wednesday 20. February 2008 - Document Product Fundamentals and AFP-101 to Offer Accredited Classes at Xplor Document University
Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today named their first two Certified Education Program (CEU) program providers and classes. Partners from acadami will offer an education course titled, “Document Production Fundamentals,” along with AFP-101, that will be offered by Stephen Wowelko, EDP, Donald Scrima, EDP and Howard Turetzky, EDP. Both courses will be presented at the Xplor Document University and Global Conference, March 3 through 4, 2008 in conjunction with ON DEMAND in Boston Massachusetts.
Document Production Fundamentals will provide 14 classes targeted at entry-level professionals and will explore the basics of document production, define the industry and its place in everyday business and provide core material and terminology for anyone in the industry that is exposed to electronic documents on a daily basis. Document Production Fundamentals will also provide attendees with explanations on how documents are formatted, produced, distributed and will prepare the attendee for active participation at relevant technical meetings as well as for sales and marketing environments. For the more experienced attendee, this course fills in gaps that the attendee may have based recent changes as a result in a promotion or in job responsibilities. acadami partners William Broddy, EDP, William McCalpin, EDP and Michael Turton, EDP, will teach the course.
AFP 101 will cover effective application design to communicate with customers and prospects both in print and on the web. Architecture, application development and resource generation will also be covered in detail. Utilizing the ability to properly and efficiently access reference materials and calling upon real world experiences provided by the instructors, attendees will have sufficient insight to identify issues or problems and apply their knowledge of the AFP tool structure. Attendees can expect to walk away with a solid appreciation of AFP and the nuances for effective application development. The two-day track also offers a “functional perspective” on the architecture, applications, fonts, resource creation and generation, debugging, problem solving, color and much more.
Both courses will provide electronic document professionals with Continuing Education Units and is open to all attendees that purchase either a Xplor Platinum Passport conference pass or conference registrations that include the days of the courses.
