Trelleborg Printing Blankets Gains ISO14001 Accreditation

Friday 25. January 2008 - Trelleborg Printing Blankets has gained ISO14001 accreditation for the environmental management systems in place at its factory in Lodi Vecchio, Italy. The site produces around 90 per cent of the industry leading Vulcan series of blankets used around the world by sheet-fed, commercial web offset and newspaper printers.

“Trelleborg Printing Blankets has always had a philosophy of protecting the environment as much as humanly possible and we have extremely strict policies in regards to the environment at our factories in Italy, China and the USA,” says managing director Dario Porta. “I think many people would be surprised at the level to which we have taken this, but it is something that both management and staff feel strongly about. This has helped to ensure that the manufacture of Vulcan blankets causes the least impact on the environment.”
