Pageflex 6.0 announced

Tuesday 08. January 2008 - This release introduces two new capabilities: 1) The Pageflex Campaign Tools for creating and tracking cross media campaigns 2) An update to the Free Edit application for Pageflex Storefront to include support for Flash.

Pageflex 6.0 also includes an important update to the latest version of the Adobe PDF Library.

The Pageflex Campaign Tools

Pageflex has enabled you to create compelling cross media campaigns for a long time now. With the Pageflex Campaign Tools, you can take your cross media campaigns to a whole new level. These powerful tools greatly simplify the process of creating and tracking a coordinated cross media campaign. They let you focus on the effectiveness of the campaign message while leaving the details of execution to Pageflex.

The Pageflex Campaign tools takes care of creating unique personalized URLs for your mailing list. It link e-mails to personalized microsites for you. It lets you design multi-page surveys without the cumbersome process of coding an HTML form yourself.

Once you connect up your campaign, the Pageflex Campaign Manager also sets up a tracking site for you. You can monitor the results of your campaign in real time and enjoy immediate access to important campaign metrics.

Flash Support for Pageflex Storefront and Free Edit

To continue our commitment to supporting consumer-oriented Web-to-Print sites in Pageflex Storefront, we have added some great new features to the Free Edit application, the online design and editing capability within Pageflex Storefront.
Free Edit now supports Adobe Flash in addition to its current support for Java. When you set up your online store, you can choose which platform you need to deploy for your site visitors.
Pageflex Storefront already lets you customize the online interface to create exactly the look and feel you want for your online stores. With this update, you can apply the same “skin” to the controls on the Free Edit application.
This release extends the capabilities of Flash to bring the sophisticated text and document composition that define the Pageflex product line into this widely accessible platform. For example, your online documents can include text on a path. Your paragraphs can use sophisticated, automatic hyphenation.

Updated Adobe PDF Library

Pageflex 6.0 includes the latest release of the Adobe PDF Library, version 8.1. Creating PDF output is a standard feature of all Pageflex products. This update adds support for several key properties in Adobe PDF documents. These include the Fast Web option and the Meta Data option. Pageflex also now supports several Security options as well as Initial View options.
