Dresden Packaging Conference becomes an online event

From 2nd to 4th December 2020 the German Packaging Institute e. V. (dvi) invites all players from industry, brands, trade, science and research together with students to the traditional year-end meeting of the industry. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Dresden Packaging Conference will take place online this year as Digital Packaging Days. The network platform focuses on the topics of sustainability, recycling management and digitalisation.

Already experiencing solid production results after installing two high-speed SOMIC case packing systems three months ago, OH SNAP! Pickling Co. has ordered a third retail ready 424 W3 wraparound machine. The compact, end-of-line unit is expected to be online in the second quarter of 2021.

Labellers with the right bite

More and more dog owners attach importance to feeding their pets a natural diet and rely on Barf. This stands for biologically species-appropriate food and is based on what wolves and wild dogs eat in the wild. Die Futterma-cher, a family-run company from Villingen-Schwenningen with around 40 employees, supplies this trendy food – so far mainly in frozen form – to over 300 dealers throughout Germany and some in other European countries.

Innoform holds its first hybrid conference

On 2829 October, stand-up pouch experts from Europe will meet in Berlin and simultaneously via livestream. Innoform Coaching is offering this hybrid format for the first time. We have good booking figures considering the uncertain situation. Announcement of the winners of the European Carton Excellence Awards

The jurors of the European Carton Excellence Awards 2020 voted the Van Genechten packaging creation Roku Gin as Carton of the Year. The winner was announced on 7 October at the first virtual Carton E-vent with award ceremony, hosted by Pro Carton – the European Association of Cartonboard and Folding Carton Manufacturers – and the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA).
