As the printing industry becomes even more sophisticated and computerized, small commercial printers are taking advantage of the financial gains in these advancements. A 10-employee print shop called Krishna Digital that serves the San Francisco area launched a new website as a way to create a center of attention.
Universal Printing Company in Scranton, Pa. recently added a 4-color Printmaster PM 52 with perfector and two Stahlfolder B30s from Heidelberg to its 80,000-sq.-foot facility. Bill McGrath, husband of Universals owner Margi McGrath, said the shop chose the new Heidelberg press because of its flexibility, productivity and quality.
