United Kingdom-based label manufacturer Interket UK purchased a new 8-colour, fully automated MPS EFA 530 flexographic press. The deal was signed at Labelexpo Europe 2019.
K 2019, the worlds leading trade exhibition for the plastics and rubber industry, closed its doors after eight extremely busy days in Duesseldorf starting on October 16th, 2019. The 3,333 exhibitors provided impressive evidence that plastic is still an innovative, indispensable and forward-looking material. Edelmann Group in Heidenheim has been operating a Rapida RDC 106 rotary die-cutter for the past two years. The company is known for its commitment to innovative processes and technologies and was proud to serve as a pilot user of the die-cutter in packaging production, accompanying developments from the first tentative steps, through intensive field testing to final series maturity. In the meantime, the new machine is being used in daily production.

The 2019 innovation ranking – a study carried out for Germanys Handelsblatt business newspaper – testifies to the printing industrys impressive innovation credentials, especially in the context of the sectors ongoing digital transformation. Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is significantly ahead of the competition in this ranking, claiming 23rd place in Germany (325th worldwide).
