Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG) today announced that James F. Woodward has been named a Senior Vice President, effective immediately. Mr. Woodward will continue in his role as chief financial officer, a position he has held since 2011.

Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG) today received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for its merger with New Young Broadcasting Holding Co, Inc. Media General expects to close on the transaction on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
