Canfor Corporation (TSX:CFP) announced today the indefinite closure of its Mackenzie sawmill in an effort to minimize operating losses during this period of prolonged poor lumber markets and ongoing production curtailments.
Metso Paper will supply Sabah Forest Industries (SFI), a subsidiary of India’s largest paper company Ballarpur Industries Limited (BILT), a major rebuild of its pulp mill in Sabah, Malaysia.
