After a hugely successful inaugural event in 2023, WrapFest is back and set to be even bigger and better. Taking place from 3-4 October 2024 at the iconic Silverstone racing circuit, Northamptonshire, this year’s event will once again unite wrap professionals, enthusiasts, and industry leaders from across Europe.
The overwhelmingly positive response from the industry in 2023 highlighted the need for a dedicated event that caters to the specific requirements and interests of this vibrant and growing sector. And the inaugural WrapFest successfully fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange in a dynamic and engaging environment.
The growing wrapping industry
The global vehicle wrapping industry continues to experience remarkable growth, with the market projected to reach new heights in the coming years. This is according to Straits Research, that reports the market for automotive wrap films will reach a value of over $25 billion by 2030, with Europe a key region for the industry.
WrapFest 2024 will reflect this growth, showcasing the latest innovations, trends, and technologies driving the industry forward.
WrapFest 2024 offers innovations from exhibitors
WrapFest will feature a comprehensive showcase of leading brands in the vehicle wrapping and detailing industry. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations in graphic, colour-change, and paint protection films (PPF), as well as cutting-edge window tints. The exhibition will also highlight state-of-the-art digital printing and laminating equipment, vinyl cutting and finishing tools, design software, cleaning products, and a wide range of accessories. Through this immersive experience wrap professionals can interact with products at every stage of the wrapping process, expanding their industry knowledge and fuelling their career aspirations.
Sign and display experts William Smith invites WrapFest attendees to discover its renowned Training Academy, offering comprehensive courses in vehicle wrapping, PPF, architectural film, and window film installation. Visitors can witness live demonstrations in the pit lanes, showcasing the newly launched VION Automotive Window Films and an exclusive product debut. On its stand, experts will showcase the exciting possibilities of architectural wrapping and the untapped potential it holds for businesses. William Smith’s stand promises to showcase premium materials and accessories from leading brands such as 3M, Arlon, Avery Dennison, VION, and Cover Styl’.
SunTek will showcase its cutting-edge Paint Protection Film, designed to safeguard vehicles against the rigors of the road while enhancing their style and performance. Visitors can explore the company’s range of self-healing films, available in a variety of finishes, engineered to resist rock chips, scratches, and other environmental hazards. The brand will also highlight its innovative 2-in-1 technology, merging the protective properties of PPF with the durability of ceramic coating for unparalleled defence. SunTek will highlight the durability and performance of its Paint Protection Film (PPF) products, emphasizing their rigorous testing standards and commitment to long-term vehicle preservation.
Signgeer invites attendees to their designated pit garage, where a showcase of innovative wrap tools and materials awaits. Visitors can experience live demonstrations of architectural wrap products from Wizard Pro Tools, as well as cutting-edge wrap gadgets from Yellotools, Knife Tucker, PID Pro Series, Weldy, Superglove, and SOTT. Additionally, trusted brands like Steinel and Surfacework will be on display. Signgeer will also offer a selection of exclusive Printropolabs gadgets, race-themed competitions, special offers, and giveaways.
A brand new educational programme for enthusiasts
The two-day event will feature an all-new immersive Surface Decoration Showcase, displaying cutting-edge products and techniques for transforming interior spaces. Attendees can expect to discover the latest trends in furniture wraps, window films, wall coverings, and window tinting solutions, with hands-on demonstrations from seasoned independent professionals.
The WrapTalks programme, a cornerstone of WrapFest, returns with a compelling line-up of industry leaders sharing their insights and expertise. Paige Walton, CEO and Founder of The Vehicle Wrapping Academy, will lead a thought-provoking discussion on the experiences of women in the wrapping industry, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion.
Shedding light on the world of social media to fuel the growth of the wrapping industry and attract the next generation, a panel session will cover different perspectives on the industry and discuss ways to make it more appealing to new talent. FESPA UK Next Generation Committee members Lauren Brown, Customer Service and Project Manager at stylographics; Alex Pollard, Contracts Manager at RMC Digital Print; Chris Edwards, Director of CVI Group; Isabel Shanahan Project Coordinator at Imageco; and Jake Adams, Managing Director at Trade Embroidery; will discuss everything from curating learning programmes to apprenticeships and social media strategies.
Renowned F1 Graphic Designer Sean Bull will offer a glimpse into the world of Formula 1, exploring the fusion of design, technology, and aesthetics that defines the sport. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on how to translate these principles into their own work, elevating their creative output.
Keiran McCabe, Owner of RGVA Vehicle Graphics, will also share his expertise on designing effective fleet liveries, providing practical tips on creating impactful visuals that maximise brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
Complementing the brand-new Surface Decoration Showcase, WrapFest will delve into the exciting realm of architectural wraps. An exclusive interview with Chris Edwards, Director of CVI Group, touching on the transformative power of architectural wraps in reimagining spaces and pushing the boundaries of design.
For visitors with an eye for design, motorsport design consultant with over 20 years of experience, Jason Price, will introduce attendees to Blender software programme, share his system recommendations, and give a walkthrough of completing a livery design from start to finish using the Adobe suite and Blender.
One of the most eagerly anticipated additions to WrapFest 2024 will give attendees the opportunity to book one-on-one sessions with celebrity car wrapper Yiannimize at the new Business Surgery Clinic. By signing up, visitors can receive personalised advice and guidance on how to grow their businesses and achieve greater success in the industry.
In addition, WrapFest attendees are invited to an exclusive training experience hosted by The Wrap Institute, WrapFest’s official Learnings Partner, in its dedicated pit garage. This online learning powerhouse, boasting over 2,000 instructional videos on vinyl wrap installation, production, design, and business, will offer unique insights and perspectives not found anywhere else. Led by industry legends Justin Pate and Rainer Lorz, both renowned Avery Dennison trainers, these sessions will enable attendees to elevate their wrapping knowledge and skills to new heights.
Live demonstrations, delivered by leading industry names
Attendees will witness firsthand the transformation of Silverstone’s iconic pit garages into a vibrant hub of live demonstrations, where industry experts unveil the latest techniques and materials that are redefining vehicle customisation. Stay tuned for the upcoming announcement of the full demo schedule, guaranteed to inspire and amaze.
Beyond the pit lane, the Show & Shine competition will showcase over 10 meticulously wrapped vehicles each day, vying for the coveted People’s Choice and Judges’ Awards. Meanwhile, The Wrap Institute will challenge attendees to put their skills to the test in the thrilling Wrap Warrior Battle, including the fan-favourite “Wrap The Dots” contest.
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, Silverstone Simulators will offer the chance to compete for the fastest lap time in an F1 simulation experience, adding an exhilarating dimension to the show. To wind down and catch-up with old faces and meet new fellow industry names, the Wrap Party will take place on Thursday 3rd October at the nearby Blackpit Brewery and is open to all attendees, with a limited number of tickets available.
World Wrap Masters returns to Silverstone
The UK leg of the prestigious World Wrap Masters competition will also take centre stage at WrapFest 2024. Up to 20 of the world’s most talented wrappers will go head-to-head in a series of rounds which are all designed to showcase a wrapper’s ability, application techniques, knife or cutting skills and precision, showcasing their expertise across printed media, colour change, and, for the first time, PPF materials.
To be within a chance of winning, and qualifying for the World Wrap Masters final, held at the FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 in Berlin, entrants will have to impress the judges. With a judging panel comprising industry luminaries Ole Solskin, Kiss Lajos, and Ivan Tenchev this promises to be a riveting spectacle for all who attend.
