Bespoke brilliances see Hunter Luxury shortlisted for trio of Pentawards
Wednesday 07. August 2024 - Full-service packaging solutions provider and B Corp partner of choice for the worlds biggest beauty and spirits brands, Hunter Luxury, has been shortlisted in no less than three categories, as the 2024 Pentawards Shortlist was revealed.
Hunter Luxury’s sought-after Charlotte Tilbury Lucky Chest of Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar, the most coveted beauty advent calendar of 2023, and its work on The Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection for Glenglassaugh Distillery, were both included on category shortlists.
Adding a further coveted shortlisting, its multidisciplinary team was also named alongside 10 other businesses to contest the brand-new Supplier of the Year Award.
After over 2,000 entries from 62 countries worldwide, this year’s international jury shortlisted over 700 entries, now in the running to win a Pentawards trophy. Entries are judged by a panel of over 50 experts from distinguished brands and agencies, including Estée Lauder, Microsoft, Pentagram, and PUMA. Since its launch in 2007, the hotly contested awards have received more than 30,000 entries.
Hunter Luxury has cemented its position as the go-to partner for the world’s biggest beauty brands and their sought-after festive calendars. In recent years, it has collaborated with esteemed brands such as Elemis, Next Beauty, Temple Spa, and Espa. The company’s latest triumph, the Charlotte Tilbury Lucky Chest of Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar, is one of 11 uniquely branded items set to compete for the Limited Editions or series category for Body, Health & Beauty.
“The Charlotte Tilbury Lucky Chest of Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar is a testament to our commitment to excellence, featuring a stunning emerald-cut diamond shape adorned with luxurious Night Crimson and Rose Gold hues,” said Pippa Bell, Head of Beauty at Hunter Luxury. “Each drawer, exquisitely crafted with crystal handles, unveils a treasure trove of Charlotte Tilbury’s most coveted beauty products.”
The product of the creative minds behind the seasonal sell-out sensation since 2016, the 2023 iteration of the 12-door wonder was created in collaboration with the team at Charlotte Tilbury following 16 months of design and development work. From concept theme to production, every step was managed carefully to ensure an on-time October launch.
Bell added: “At Hunter Luxury, we pride ourselves on our expert knowledge of the advent calendar market, demonstrated year after year through our successful collaboration with Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. Our process includes brainstorming and ideation, translating brand themes into striking designs, and delivering production on time, every time. Our commitment to excellence elevates the brand experience, and we are incredibly proud of the final product. The 2023 Lucky Chest of Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar is a testament to our ability to create the best advent calendars on the market, filled with stunning details and high-quality craftsmanship.”
In the casks, cases and glorifiers section of the Beverages category, Hunter Luxury’s unique wooden pack for launching a historic, limited edition whisky line – The Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection – caught the judge’s eyes and imagination, placing it among eight other entries. The stunning, hand-crafted cases that house the delicately dappled bottles were designed to express the unique story of these remarkable spirits, and evoke the Glenglassaugh distillery on Scotland’s northeastern coast, that brought them to life.
“Initially, we learned more about the serpentine stone from contacts in Portsoy, a neighbouring village, to understand what options were available for the raw material for the pack,” said Paul Hamilton, Head of Wine & Spirits at Hunter Luxury, who personally visited the Aberdeenshire coastline. “We believe this demonstrates our approach to delivering for our customers – when we undertake a project, we go all-out to make it special.
“Every packaging project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us. Every brand is unique, and no two packaging projects are the same. We’re proud to keep raising the bar for our customers – their success is its own reward.”
Hunter Luxury’s team of seasoned experts will also contest the Supplier of the Year Award, which acknowledges and honours the pivotal role of packaging manufacturers and suppliers in transforming design concepts into impactful and real packaging projects.
The success of the Charlotte Tilbury and Glenglassaugh partnerships underscores Hunter Luxury’s expertise in crafting packaging that captivates audiences and elevates brand presence.
“At Hunter Luxury, our process of taking a brief and bringing it to life is a blend of meticulous planning, creative vision, and technical expertise,” added Bell. “From the moment we receive a brief, our team immerses itself in understanding the client’s vision and objectives. Our dedication to excellence ensures that each project, whether a bespoke beauty advent calendar or a coastal cask gift box, is brought to life with precision and flair, exceeding expectations and creating memorable experiences for our clients and their customers alike.”
Ten other businesses join Hunter Luxury in the Supplier of the Year category. The winners will be revealed at a Gala Ceremony at Magazine London on October 25.
