Mexican ambassador visits Arburg
Tuesday 16. April 2024 - On 28 March 2024, Mexican Ambassador Francisco Quiroga visited Arburg to get to know the mechanical engineering company and talk to Managing Directors Guido Frohnhaus and Dr Armin Schmiedeberg about the companys activities in Mexico and the countrys potential.
• Valuable input: Ambassador promoted Mexico as a location
• In the spotlight: Economy, infrastructure and qualified personnel
• Internationalisation: Growing importance of Mexico as a location
In addition to Mexican Ambassador Francisco Quiroga, Alan Romero, Director of Investment Promotion Mexican Embassy, together with Jazmín Molina and Maximilian Gauland, Managing Partners of the Zeitgeist Consulting Group, were also part of the delegation, which was welcomed by Dr Christoph Schumacher, Vice President Global Marketing at Arburg. Dr Schumacher briefly introduced his visitors to the company and its product portfolio. The discussion with Arburg Managing Directors Guido Frohnhaus and Dr Armin Schmiedeberg then focused specifically on the market in Mexico, where Arburg has been represented by a local sales and service subsidiary since 2008 and which plays an important role in the company’s further internationalisation.
Due to the changed global and market situation with its increasingly dynamic requirements, Arburg is currently working intensively on “local-to-local” activities in the hegemonic regions of Asia and America. The company is also looking into the possibility of internationalising stages of its value chain – thereby also safeguarding the Lossburg location in the long term.
Francisco Quiroga and Alan Romero briefed their hosts
on Mexico’s economic size, the presence of around 2,300 German companies and the 130-year success story of Siemens in the country, as well as its favourable situation in terms of training and qualified personnel. This exchange of ideas
