Trade printers demonstrate their offerings at The Print Show

Wednesday 27. September 2023 - For members of the print industry attending The Print Show 2023, there are a number of trade printers on hand to demonstrate how their offerings can enable businesses to thrive. We highlight some of the trade printers exhibiting at The Print Show this year.

Route 1 Print, Stand A67
Route 1 Print are on hand at The Print Show 2023 to discuss how it can service visitors to the event who operate within the print industry.
A supporter of the event year-on-year, Route 1 Print dispatches over 8,500 jobs each week from its 100,000sq ft factory.
Founded in 2012 as an eBay store with two members of staff, the company recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary in 2022.
Trade Embroidery, Stand C1
Returning after being “overwhelmed” with the positive response from visitors to its stand in 2022, Trade Embroidery is set to showcase more of its services at The Print Show 2023.
At The Print Show 2023, Trade Embroidery will showcase its embroidery and garment printing services. As well as this, it will advise traditional print companies on integrating an embroidery and garment printing service within their own business.
The ‘DTF Gangsheet Service’ is also something Trade Embroidery will promote at this year’s show. “DTF or direct-to-film is a method for producing high-quality, durable prints on garments,” explains Jake Adams, managing director of Trade Embroidery.
Adams adds that visitors to the Trade Embroidery stand will be able to meet the team, “have a brew”, play some fun games, and walk away with some quality free garment samples you can wear.
Solopress, Stand D20
Following its successful experience at The Print Show 2022, Solopress has revealed plans for a special launch at the 2023 edition.
This launch has informed the main theme for the stand, as well as setting Solopress’ objectives for the event.
“This innovation is actually a direct response to feedback we received at The Print Show 2022, so it will be great to show visitors that we’ve acted on the discussions we had last year!” says Glen Eckett, head of marketing at Solopress.
In addition to the special launch, Solopress will also be using its presence to demonstrate how it can serve its partners in the trade through its expanded product range and plant list, in conjunction with its Solopro service.
Tradeprint, Stand C19
Online print provider Tradeprint is poised to offer exclusive in-show discounts and news on exciting investments made in the past year.
The company is therefore “thrilled” to use its space at The Print Show to connect with customers and show its technology progress, as well as its focus on sustainability.
Tradeprint is providing an update on its enhanced API infrastructure tailored for businesses seeking seamless integration into its printing facilities. The company’s TP PRO reward scheme is also being highlighted offering the benefits of improved credit and wallet options.
With an ongoing focus on sustainability, Tradeprint is also sharing details of its journey in reducing waste and eliminating problematic plastics and the steps it is taking to meet its Net Zero 2040 target.
Anthony Rowell, the company’s sustainability lead is on hand at the show to answer and questions and share his passion for all things print and sustainability.
Also on hand at the stand is Santha Hope, Tradeprint’s new head of marketing who brings with her over 15 years of experience in large-format printing to the company. Hope is eager to chat with both familiar and new customers.
Baker Labels, Stand D40
A trusted trade supplier of trade labels to the label print sector, Baker Labels is celebrating its 50th year in business by expanding its positioning into the commercial print sector at The Print Show.
Visitors to Stand D40 can expect to get competitive because once they have got their hands on a range of trade label and pouch samples and taken a virtual tour around the Baker Labels and BakPac facilities, they can try their hand at the basketball hoop on the stand, with the company running competitions on the hoops across the three-day event!
Exhibiting at the event for the first time, Baker Labels sys the decision is a strategic one in order to showcase and elevate its capabilities and trade options to commercial print industry experts.
Since its inception, Baker Labels’ business philosophy has been in fostering collaborative relationships with its customers whilst seeking to expand the possibilities it can provide to its clients.

DecTek, Pod 4 IPIA Village
Specialist print manufacturing business, DecTek offers a range of products under its brand such as trade print, commercial print, small-format print, and large-format graphics and products such as wallpaper.
A core focus for the company’s director Mike Beese and the wider team is forming strong relationships within the industry and the team can be found on Pod 4 of the Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) Village at The Print Show 2023.
Something DecTek is particularly excited to promote is its labels on a roll offering having invested recently in Konica Minolta technology. The company has invested in very front-end high-speed production with two styles of cutting possible on the back end.
Mike Beese, founder of DecTek, comments: “We’ve got such an expansive range of products and new products to show, and a lot of it is going to be done by engaging with anybody that comes onto the stand. Once they arrive, we have a lot of information, brochures, products, and giveaways to show our capabilities.”
Flexpress, Stand P64
Leicester-based online trade-only print company Flexpress is offering its wisdom and insight into running a successful trade printing company with the launch of managing director Steve Wenlock’s new book
Described as “absolutely readable from cover to cover” by Print Business editor Gareth Ward, the book is titled Finishing First – How a small commercial printing company can outperform the market.
“There are lots of books printers should read to help grow their business,” says Wenlock. “But none that are written specifically through the eyes of a printer. So I decided to write about our experience of growing Flexpress over the past five years, good and bad, to hopefully help and inspire others.”
Despite industry challenges such as Covid-19, Brexit, and an economic crisis, Flexpress has been going from strength to strength, doubling its turnover whilst reducing its staff count, resulting in last year being its most successful to date.
Visitors to Flexpress’ Stand will have the chance to get their hands on the new book with 500 copies being given away.
Result Clothing, Stand A55
Founded in 1995, Result Clothing provides decoration, promotion, and uniform industries with outerwear, hardware, and accessories that all can be printed on and personalised.
Visitors to the Result stand are able to receive a free printed compact shopper and brochure pack and the company is showcasing the new colourways in the Genuine Recycled Softshells.
The company is also showcasing the new Navy Compass range, which it says is already on its way to becoming a bestseller.
Result launched its Genuine Recycled range in 2020 which the company says ensured it stayed “fresh within the industry”. At the 2023 event, the company is entering visitors to its stand into a draw to win a Genuine Recycled Printable Softshell sample set in their chosen size.
“All the products on Result’s stand are printable and our expert staff will be on-hand to explain the various recommended printing techniques, which are also listed on the RESULT website and catalogues,” the company says.
Shenzhen Juncheng Smart Card Technoloy, Stand P98
Manufacturer of Smart Card Technology, Shenzhen Juncheng Smart Card Technology Company is offering live demonstrations of its intricate manufacturing processes at The Print Show 2023.
The company is showcasing its comprehensive range of products including RFID (radio frequency identification), magnetic stripe, and customised smart cards. Shenzhen says it will also reveal some of the secrets behind its tailor-made solutions, designed to complement specific business needs.
Describing its presence as “more than just a stand at a show”, the manufacturer is offering a close-up view of its production techniques, and a first-hand look at its product line, as well as giving visitors an insight into its dedication to sustainability.
“Our team of industry experts are ready and waiting to answer your queries, offer strategic advice, and explore the potential of collaborative partnerships,” the company says.
