Submission deadline for the German Packaging Award extended
Friday 20. May 2022 - The largest European showcase for packaging covers all material types and is open to innovations and new solutions from home and abroad. It is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
The German Packaging Institute e. V. (dvi) is extending the deadline for submissions to the German Packaging Award until 31 May 2022. The new deadline applies to all ten award categories.
The dvi is extending the deadline in response to a large number of enquiries it has recently received. “High workloads and Covid-19-related sick leave mean many companies have not yet been able to complete their submission,” explains dvi Managing Director Winfried Batzke. “All interested parties now have some more breathing space to submit their products or prototypes on time. We and our premium partners IGEPA, Packaging Valley and FACHPACK are all delighted about every single innovation and are therefore more than happy to adjust our schedule,” says Batzke.
Categories and Gold Awards
Participants can enter their submission in any of 10 categories. The independent jury is made up of a broad-based panel of experts from business, research, education and the media. Over a two-day session, they assess all submissions against fixed, category-specific criteria. “In addition to the Packaging Award, the jury can also award the particularly exclusive Gold Award. This honours innovations that stand out even from the illustrious circle of Packaging Award winners,” says Winfried Batzke. The award ceremony and announcement of the Gold Award winners will be held on 27 September 2022 on the first day of the FACHPACK trade fair in Nuremberg.
Powerful arguments for sales and marketing
“Winning the Packaging Award provides proof of companies outstanding innovative strength and gives them compelling evidence in their communication with customers, consumers, partners, future employees and even their own team,” says Batzke, highlighting the benefits of taking part. Submissions are by way of an online form which can be found on the dvi home page at verpackung.org. The dvi also provides comprehensive information here about the ten categories and their respective evaluation criteria.
