Plastics and rubber industry of the world focuses on K 2022 in Düsseldorf
Tuesday 15. June 2021 - As registration for K 2022 closes, it is clear that exhibitor interest in the worlds most important trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, which will be held in Düsseldorf from 19 to 26 October 2022, is unbroken.
“K 2022 will once again occupy the entire exhibition grounds,” says a delighted Erhard Wienkamp, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, adding: “In our discussions with exhibitors, we sense that the need to be able to exchange ideas in person again on a global level is enormous.”
The “Who’s Who” of the international plastics and rubber industry will once again be represented in Düsseldorf at K 2022; nowhere else is the internationality so high. Around 3,000 companies from all continents have registered to present their innovations from the product ranges of
Raw materials, auxiliaries
semi-finished products, technical parts and reinforced plastic products
machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry.
The industry’s most important information and innovation meeting place
K in Düsseldorf offers the global plastics and rubber industry its most important information and business platform. Exhibitors and visitors from all over the world come together and use the opportunities offered by their leading trade fair to demonstrate the industry’s capabilities, discuss current trends and set the course for the future. K 2022 comes at just the right time to give the plastics and rubber industry renewed orientation after the changes caused by the pandemic.
The key themes of K 2022
K in Düsseldorf is not only the venue for groundbreaking new products every three years, but also underlines its special status by addressing the current challenges of our time and, in particular, of its industry. This is reflected above all in the three main themes of K 2022:
Circular Economy
Digitalisation
Climate protection
On the one hand, these key themes will be reflected in the exhibitors’ presentations and, on the other, they will be the focus of the official special show “Plastics Shape the Future”, the Science Campus and the Circular Economy Forum of the VDMA.
Part of the recipe for success of K in Düsseldorf is that it is always geared to the needs of the market and develops its concept accordingly. For example, the physical event on site will be expanded to include additional digital offerings. “This consolidates the leading position of K in Düsseldorf as the central communication and information platform for its sector – for the duration of the presence fair and beyond,” Wienkamp is convinced.
