Thimm start-ups move to new location in Göttingen
Thursday 25. February 2021 - At the beginning of the new year, Thimm Start-ups moved to Göttingen. They have moved into their new offices on the fifth floor at Weender Landstraße 3, in close proximity to the university, the Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen (PFH), Göttingens main train station and the city center.
“Cartonara has developed exceptionally well since its founding in March 2018, so we were looking for new, larger premises,” says Michael Weber, Head of Corporate Strategy + Marketing at the Thimm Group. Cartonara’s employees also previously had their workplace in the PFH premises. “However, the space there has now become too small. In addition, we would like to bundle all of our start-up activities, some of which were still located in Northeim, in a central location. We chose this location in Göttingen because we have had very good experiences working with the University of Göttingen, the PFH and other local companies. This physical proximity is very important to us,” continues Michael Weber.
In the future, the entire activities of the Thimm start-ups as well as other cooperation start-ups will be bundled at the new location near Göttingen’s city center. “From here, we will continue to drive the expansion of our start-ups, which means setting them up for the future and allowing them to grow profitably,” explains Michael Weber.
The 400-square-meter space above the rooftops of the university city is divided into a modern open-plan office with a separate brainstorming area, two conference rooms with the latest media technology and a smaller meeting room. Currently, 12 employees work at the new location. An official opening event is planned for this year, depending on the further development of the Corona pandemic.
