Taopix Plans Expansion for 2016
Friday 06. November 2015 - UK software company, Taopix, has completed the purchase of a 13,700 sq ft building near its headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The company, renowned for its photobook and photo gift software, has set in motion a major refurbishment project that will see the building ready for occupation in Spring 2016. The purchase and refurbishment will involve an investment in excess of £1 million.
Currently occupying office space close by, the 30 strong business will have more than enough space to bring new talent on board including new teams offering services to the photo retail market.
Taopix CEO James Gray commented “We’ve really grown quickly over the last couple of years due to the demand for our product and services across the globe. We’ve added a number of people to our company across all departments. This, of course, has meant that we’re getting too big for our current space so it’s a logical next step to buy something bigger that will more than meet our needs today and allow us to grow without the need to relocate in the future.”
“The investment budget reflects the need for us to completely refurbish the building over a 6 month period. We chose a purpose-built fit out to create a very contemporary working environment including gym, barbeque garden, professional kitchen and chill out areas. The workplace is where people spend the majority of their time so we want this to be an enjoyable, comfortable environment”
“Here in the north east, competition for exceptional people is fierce and we want to be considered as one of the best places for young talent to work and develop.”
