The eye-catcher at the LEIBINGER trade show stand – the new LEIBINGER V-check vision system. At the trade shows FachPack, Motek and Fakuma 2015, the marking specialist Paul LEIBINGER presented its new product to the global public. There was a great interest in a simple and reliable system for quality control of printed data; nevertheless, potential customers still have to be patient until the beginning of next year.
Great interest has been shown in the new LEIBINGER V-check vision system at FachPack in Nuremberg, Motek in Stuttgart and Fakuma in Friedrichshafen. Even though the trade shows with the core themes of packaging technology, automation in assembly and plastics processing address very different target groups, V-check was able to demonstrate its appeal at all events due to its simple operability and clear functioning, namely to check printed data.
Starting next year, the marking specialist Paul LEIBINGER is offering its customers a straightforward and cost-option for quickly and reliably checking the product marking applied by a LEIBINGER inkjet printer. V-check does this by automatically comparing printed data such as letters, digits, logos or images against a reference sample, guaranteeing high production reliability.
A great advantage of the vision system is its direct connection to the LEIBINGER inkjet printer series JET3up and JET2neo. To do so, a high-performance image sensor is installed on the printhead and a handy, removable 3.5″ touchscreen display is attached directly to the cabinet of the inkjet printer. The V-check integration is carried out quickly and easily, because all required cables and holders are included in the complete set.
The communication between printer and sensor eases user operation significantly. For example, the user can configure settings for the trigger signal or for issuing error messages directly via the printer display. The printer menu is also used to define which action is to be triggered in the case of a fault or a faulty imprint. Depending on the operator’s preference, the printer then sends a direct signal to the machine control system, a warning siren or a warning lamp. A production stop is also possible.
Starting in 2016, with V-check, Paul LEIBINGER is providing a smart printing and monitoring system for the industry. This is a system that not only provides consistent assurance of product quality but also reduces costs over the long-term while increasing customer satisfaction.
