SGIAs Latest Workshop Puts the Focus on Color
Thursday 11. April 2013 - Attendees learned all about basic color management concepts; print standards and specifications; color measurement instrumentation, and more.
Students from all facets of specialty imaging gathered last week for SGIAs Color Management Boot Camp, where industry experts, Tony Quinn, of Nazdar; Jonathan Read, of Ergosoft; and SGIAs own Jeff Burton presented the unique aspects of large-format inkjet printing.
“Regardless of the output device used, its imperative to be able to fine tune the color reproduction for each device,” said Burton. “Color optimization of your shops output devices through color management can address many challenges companies face when printing clients projects.”
During the Workshop, held March 26-28 in SGIAs state-of-the-art facility in Fairfax, Virginia, attendees learned all about basic color management concepts; print standards and specifications; color measurement instrumentation and profiling software; spot color libraries and device calibration.
