Screen Digital Printing Solutions Drive Sales at drupa 2012

Monday 04. June 2012 - Screen (USA) announced that drupa 2012 proved "phenomenally successful." In terms of booth traffic, equipment buyers and general excitement on the floor, this year's event ranks among the most successful shows ever for Screen.

Screen established itself as a true innovator in digital imaging and print-on-demand technology with international product debuts, commercial launches and enhanced models in its existing portfolio. Show attendees swept away by the wave of enthusiasm for inkjet printing systems at times flooded the Screen stand in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The solutions we showcased at drupa are addressing the quality, productivity and flexibility needs of all important markets. Companies from around the world placed orders across our entire product line.”
Best Digital, a point-of-sale specialist based in the United Kingdom, bought the world’s first Truepress Jet W1632UV. The company also acquired the Truepress Jet2500UV grand-format inkjet printer. Launched at drupa and targeted toward full-color point-of-purchase and graphic displays, the Truepress Jet W1632UV is a flatbed wide-format printer that allows the customer to retain high production speeds and quality. It supports media sizes up to 62.9 x 125.9 inches and prints at up to 1,011.8 square feet per hour.
Other new systems highlighted at drupa included the web-fed Truepress Jet L350UV, a single-pass UV inkjet label printing system. The Truepress Jet L350UV offers a linear speed of 164 feet per minute. It accommodates a maximum printing width of 12.6 inches.
At drupa, Screen launched the complete EQUIOS universal workflow. Screen’s versatile, scalable workflow management system is designed to grow and adapt to a printer’s needs in conventional and personalized printing environments. This new-generation workflow provides total support for print-on-demand and computer-to-plate production and makes high-speed variable printing possible.
In addition, Screen demonstrated the latest enhancements to the Truepress Jet520 inkjet web press and Truepress JetSX digital sheetfed press. With more than 400 presses in production worldwide, the Truepress Jet520 stands as the industry’s premier color variable inkjet web press. The Truepress JetSX, the world’s first inkjet press capable of B2-size sheetfed printing, offers a new optional feature that allows it to print onto substrates up to 23.6 mil. thick.
