HEARST MAGAZINES PROMOTES JACK ROHAN TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE
Friday 22. April 2011 - John A. (Jack) Rohan, Jr., has been promoted to senior vice president, finance, for Hearst Magazines, today announced David Carey, president, Hearst Magazines. Previously, Rohan was VP and group controller for the magazine division of Hearst Corporation since 1998. The promotion is effective immediately.
In his new role, Rohan will have broader duties for financial planning and reporting for the company, adding responsibility for integrating the Hachette business in the U.S. into Hearst Magazines structure upon completion of the acquisition.
“Jack has been an integral part of the corporate team here at Hearst for more than 30 years and Im thrilled to be able to recognize his hard work and dedication with this promotion,” Carey said. “As we move into the next phase of our expansion, his role will be an important one.
From 1992 to 1998, Rohan served as vice president and resident controller of Hearst Magazines. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, he was assistant corporate controller for Hearst Corporation. From 1980 to 1989, he held various finance positions at the company. Previously, Rohan worked as a budget and financial analyst at NY Twist Drill Corporation.
Rohan earned a bachelors in business administration from Siena College, a masters in taxation from Adelphi University and an M.B.A. from Long Island University-Post. He is also a CPA.
