CTPS Adopts Digital Technology with HP Inkjet Web and Indigo Presses
Friday 11. March 2011 - Major bookmanufacturing exporter to become HP's first Inkjet Web Press user in Asia
HP today announced that CTPS, a major book manufacturingexporter based in Hong Kong, has purchased an HP T300 Color InkjetWeb Press for high-volume book production work currently done onoffset presses.
The T300 – one of severalrecent regional HP Inkjet Web Press sales – will be the first HPInkjet Web Press in Asia when installation is completed later thisyear at CTPS’s book manufacturing plant in Dongguan, China.
CTPS is also installing anHP Indigo 7500 Digital Press, HP’s top-of-the-line Indigocommercial sheet-fed press. The HP Indigo 7500’s automation andprint-quality features make it ideally suited to replace small andmidsize analogue offset presses for high-value applications. CTPSwill use the HP Indigo press to produce covers for HP T300-printedbooks.
Reaching a newmilestone with HP

Based on HP’s proven Scalable Printing Technology platform, the HPT300 Color Inkjet Web Press prints a 762-mm (30-inch) wide roll atresolutions up to 1,200 x 600 addressable dots per inch. Thefour-colour press operates at its maximum resolution in speeds upto 122m (400 feet) per minute, providing high productivity, as wellas print quality that meets or exceeds book trade standards.
