KABOODLE APPOINTS STEVEN CHIEN AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Thursday 10. March 2011 - Kaboodle, the largest social website for passionate shoppers, today announced the appointment of Steven Chien, as chief marketing officer, reporting directly to Kaboodle CEO Anne Zehren. Chien will oversee the organization’s audience development, commerce, advertising and marketing.

Chien is an Internet industry veteran with experience spanning strategy, business development and marketing. Most recently, he served as vice president, business development for Nextag, the leading online comparison shopping engine for products and services. During his tenure there, Chien led business development with search engines, media companies, social networks and other players across the Internet landscape, and drove customer acquisition efforts for multiple Nextag businesses.

Before joining Nextag, Chien was vice president, marketing and e-commerce at Spencer Gifts, where he launched the company’s e-commerce channel in just 90 days and led the retail chain’s multichannel marketing effort. Prior to that, Chien served as a vice president at America Online in multiple roles over his six-year tenure, including strategy, business development, marketing and interactive advertising. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and earned his BA from Rutgers University.
