LOUIS NOWIKAS NAMED SENIOR DIRECTOR, CORPORATE REAL ESTATE & FACILITIES PLANNING FOR HEARST CORPORATION

Monday 31. January 2011 - Louis Nowikas has been named senior director of corporate real estate and facilities planning for Hearst Corporation, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Ronald Doerfler, senior vice president, finance and administration, Hearst Corporation.

“Lou has been instrumental in the management of Hearst’s real estate operations,” Doerfler said. “He had major involvement in the design and construction of the Gold LEED-certified Hearst Tower and now oversees its day-to-day operations. I commend his contributions to the company and congratulate him on this well deserved promotion.”
Nowikas, who joined Hearst in 2004 to help manage the design and construction of Hearst’s global headquarters, Hearst Tower, was previously director of real estate and facilities planning. His main responsibilities involve managing the overall operations of the company’s real estate portfolio in New York, including Hearst Tower. He leads all building operations, including property management, mail and messenger services, food service operations and the fitness facility.
Prior to Hearst, Nowikas was a project manager for Goldman Sachs’ design and construction team in Jersey City, N.J. Before that, he was a project manager with CUH2A, a science and technology architecture and engineering design firm based in Princeton, N.J., and spent the previous seven years managing facility-related projects in the Consumer Products Research and Development division at Warner-Lambert Company (now Pfizer).
Nowikas is currently vice president of the New York Chapter of CoreNet Global, a leading organization for corporate real estate professionals.
Nowikas holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and a master’s in engineering management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
