IMPIKA to demonstrate technological advances at Hunkeler Innovation Days 2011

Wednesday 26. January 2011 - From February 14 to 17 in Lucerne, IMPIKA will showcase the unique performances of its compact inkjet print engine, the iEngine 1000

Following its successful launch at Ipex 2010, the iEngine 1000, already used by major industry actors in the United States and Europe, will demonstrate IMPIKA’s know-how at Hunkeler Innovation Days.
The rapid adoption of the iEngine 1000 print engine is due largely to an innovative design that matches outstanding performances with a compact size, an easy integration and great flexibility of use. This combination of strengths has proven to be decisive in the competitive environment of industrial print production.
The iEngine 1000 ensures exceptionally high productivity for variable and fixed data on a print width of 108mm. Using four grey levels printing, it offers a visual resolution of 1000 dpi with sustained throughput speeds of 150mpm (492fpm) for color and up to 600mpm (1970fpm) for monochrome.
The iEngine 1000 is meant for intensive use. It offers a robust design with the proven reliability of piezoelectric DOD inkjet technology (drop-on-demand) which is fully mastered by IMPIKA with more than 25 years’ experience in the field. In addition, product use and maintenance are particularly simple and economical.
« Optimization”, the IMPIKA development team’s motto, appears in the streamlined interface, the integrated self cleaning print heads, the reduced footprint and the fast and easy installation on all types of equipment (paper transportation base, finishing equipment, envelope stuffing…).
Available in water based (dye or pigment), UV-curable and MICR inks, the iEngine 1000 addresses a wide range of applications on porous and non-porous substrates.
The iEngine 1000 is ideal for commercial printing and advertising (logo, addresses, coding, overprinting, numbering…). The printer is also suitable for security printing (passports, ID cards, pass cards…) as well as for label, packaging and industrial printing. Its features also combine to offer cost effective printing for new applications such as color personalization of envelopes for transactional, transpromo and direct marketing print runs.
“The Hunkeler Innovation Days, international industry meeting for digital printing, will feature our latest generation of compact inkjet print engine, the iEngine 1000, and showcase our unique innovative capacity. Visitors will have the privilege to experience two versions of the product : in an envelope personalization application at our stand (S06) and integrated into a mail production line at the Kern stand (P05),” explains Paul Morgavi, IMPIKA CEO.
To answer the strong interest generated by this product, IMPIKA is currently putting into place a European distribution network with a world perspective.
