Punch Graphix signs up Kobundo as Xeikon distributor

Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, is to access the full market potential of Japanese industrial label printing sector following its distributor agreement with Kobundo.
The combination of the Xeikon 3000 Series high quality production printing presses and Kobundo’s sixty years experience as a distributor of printing equipment in the Japanese market is set to open up a wealth of possibilities for label printers.

§ 19.2 m/min. printing speed and duty cycle of 570 square meters per hour
§ true 1200 dpi LED array imaging heads
§ spot color printing with fifth color unit on top of the standard four process colors
§ five color printing without loss of printing speed
§ security toner for security printing applications
§ one-pass opaque white toner for clear label printing
§ flexibility in the page format
§ variety of substrates from 40 to 350 gsm including SA labels, papers, clear films and white films
§ direct or indirect food contact applications following FDA approval of the new QA-I toners
§ dry toner technology that eliminates pre-coating
Live demonstrations of the Xeikon digital presses, including the Xeikon 3500 that extends the imagable width to 508 mm from 330 mm on Xeikon 3300, will be a key element in Kobundo’s private show on 21st and 22nd of January 2011 at Fukiage Hall at Nagoya.
