New Ipagsa Activa FPP plate is perfect for basysPrint UV-Setter
Tuesday 30. November 2010 - Jointly developed offset plate guarantees high quality and productivity, and excellent on-press performance
basysPrint, a division of Punch Graphix and the inventor of UV computer-to-plate solutions, and leading European offset plate manufacturer Ipagsa, today announce the immediate release of Activa FPP, a new positive, pre-sensitized offset plate which has been accredited for the complete range of basysPrint UV-Setters. Used in combination with basysPrint’s UV-Setter series of platesetters, the Activa FPP plate guarantees highest productivity and maximum image quality across the full tonal range.
Activa FPP has a high UV sensitive plate coating for fast exposure. This dark blue coating provides strong image contrast after developing, so that jobs can be easily viewed, and densitometry measurements will be reliable. The plate has excellent on-press performance, delivering fast start-up, excellent ink/water balance, and durability for runs of more than 150,000 impressions without baking, and one million prints post-baked. It is suitable for a wide range of applications on sheetfed and web presses, and can be imaged up to a resolution of 3200 dpi, and FM screens of 20µ.
Activa FPP has a wide exposure and developing latitude, and is compatible with a wide range of leading analog and CTP plate processors. Made with the highest quality aluminium and raw materials, the plate complies with all European quality control standards, and can be relied upon for batch to batch consistency.
Christophe Lievens, basysPrint Director of Sales & Marketing, said: “The Activa FPP plate is the result of close co-operation between basysPrint and Ipagsa, and we’re delighted that we’re now able to bring this outstanding new plate to the market. Ipagsa is a leading manufacturer and we’re certain that our customers will enjoy the productivity and profitability that the Activa FPP plate will bring to their businesses.”
“Ipagsa is extremely proud to bring this plate to the market with our partners at basysPrint,” said Gianni Conti, Export Manager for Ipagsa Industrial, S.L. “The combination of Activa FPP with basysPrint’s UV-Setter series of CtP platesetters is perfect for any company looking for the highest standards of plate performance in terms of image quality and stability over lengthy print runs.”
The basysPrint UV-Setter series has been successfully uniting the principles of CtP with the benefits of proven, conventional UV plate technology worldwide for over 10 years. The UV-Setter is a CtP platesetter that uses UV-sensitive plates, and incorporates the unique Digital Screen Imaging (DSI) concept, which enables violet laser diodes to process more than 50 different brands of UV-sensitive printing plates from 15 different manufacturers. UV-sensitive plates are more cost effective to work with and are better for the environment than traditional CtP plates, providing customers with an easy entry into the digital world of CtP printing. The series includes 4-up, 8-up and VLF systems, so that customers can expose any plate format from small to large formats up to 1,580mm x 3,270mm (62″ x 129″).
