Presstek Signs Distribution Agreement with Anton Rädler GmbH for Bavaria Region

Friday 19. November 2010 - Anton Rädler GmbH to market the Presstek DI family of digital offset presses in Bavaria, Germany

Presstek a leading provider of digital offset printing solutions for the printing and communications sector, has appointed Anton Rädler GmbH as its distribution partner for Bavaria, Germany. The agreement is a significant step for Anton Rädler – the Landsberg-based company will sell the entire line of Presstek DI digital offset presses and this is their first digital printing product in their portfolio.

“We’re witnessing big changes in the printing industry,” says Wolfgang Rädler, Managing Director and owner of Anton Rädler GmbH. “With an increasing demand for high-quality, short-run, fast-turnaround jobs, digital printing is clearly a growth market, and DI presses offer an ideal solution for printing companies that wish to take advantage of the opportunity. We have been following Presstek with great interest for a number of years now. We’re convinced that digital offset printing is the best way to bridge the gap between traditional offset printing and toner-based digital printing.”

Anton Rädler will celebrate the deal by making the Presstek 34DI-E part of an attractive winter promotion. The Presstek 34DI-E is the ideal entry-level offset technology for many digital printers, as well as offset printers who are looking to more cost-effectively handle shorter runs. More information on the promotion is available from Anton Rädler’s sales department.

“The addition of Anton Rädler completes the expansion of Presstek Deutschland’s DI sales network in Germany,” says Axel Thien, Presstek Business Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “Print service providers in the region will benefit from the company’s expertise and support, and will have easy access to Presstek DI presses. Presstek DI presses deliver improved efficiency for print runs between 500 and 10,000 units.”

Flexibility and efficiency
Presstek DI presses are the ideal addition for companies with larger, conventional offset presses that want to produce small, high-quality print runs more cost-effectively. There are also significant synergies in combination with toner-based digital presses which can prove to be unprofitable for runs longer than 500 copies.

A Presstek DI digital offset press images chemistry-free plates on press in precise register. With a DI press, a digital file is sent directly to the press without the use of traditional offset or computer-to-plate processes. Automated press settings ensure high quality consistently throughout the run without significant operator intervention – from digital file to sellable sheet in as little as six minutes with up to 10 colors. Its waterless printing process dries quickly and ensures the highest quality and fast drying, even with heavy ink coverage.

Presstek DI digital offset presses are available in three basic models: the recently launched Presstek 75DI, the Presstek 52DI and the Presstek 34DI.
