New Managing Director for Agfa Graphics Canada

Tuesday 16. November 2010 - Agfa Graphics announced today that Lawrence Robinson has been promoted to Managing Director of Agfa Graphics, Canada. He replaces Ruben Silva, who was recently promoted to Vice-President of Sales and Service at Agfa Graphics, North America. Robinson's appointment is effective immediately.

Most recently, Robinson held the District Business Manager post, where he was responsible for sales management of Agfa’s integrated prepress solutions and :Dotrix Modular industrial inkjet press.
“Lawrence is a seasoned leader with many years of hands-on industry experience. I am confident Lawrence will be able to effectively manage the Canadian sales force and expand Agfa’s presence in Canada,” said Ruben Silva, Vice-President Sales and Service, Agfa Graphics, North America.
Robinson began his career with Web Offset Publications, a publication printer, and eventually moved on to Thorn Press Ltd., a commercial printer in Toronto. He has conducted R&D projects with Rock-Tenn, RR Donnelley and Smurfit-Stone. Robinson has also held high-level posts at Heidelberg Canada and KBA North America Inc. where he was Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.
