Enhanced Screen Trueflow SE Ver. 7.2 Debuts at Graph Expo 2010

End-to-end automation
In recent years, Screen’s research and development efforts have focused on creating an efficient and error-free process from job quote and incoming digital files through finishing and delivery. Thanks to such end-to-end automation, Screen equipment and software integrate with as wide a range of complementary third-party technology as possible.

EQUIOS-Pre4m embodies this integration. EQUIOS-Pre4m, with Trueflow SE ver. 7.2 at its core, empowers printers to achieve the greatest possible value from an efficient print production workflow. In an EQUIOS-Pre4m workflow, Trueflow SE ver. 7.2 can convey folding and cutting information to postpress as JDF files. Job specifications can be shared with a JDF-enabled management information system (MIS) via Ritecontrol SE.

Trueflow SE ver. 7.2
In a hybrid workflow, where data is sent to the appropriate device according to the number of copies required, ensuring smooth management of data just before printing is as important as maintaining quality. Trueflow SE ver. 7.2, incorporating Adobe PDF Print Engine 2, integrates everything from the automated handling of incoming jobs to prepress production, proofing and output to different digital devices. Trueflow SE ver. 7.2 unifies data and process management under a single system, immediately before printing begins. Responding to changes — even last-minute changes in the number of copies required — has never been easier.

Job recorder is now included in Trueflow SE Standard and upgrades. Operators have the ability to process multiple documents with multiple pages and automatically impose directly in Trueflow SE. Last-minute page replacements can be automated with ranges of pages being replaced through late-page replacement. Users can make late imposition format size changes automatically within Trueflow SE with late-binding technology. A new, simplified graphical user interface makes Trueflow SE operation faster and easier.

New version of EQUIOS-Pre4m
EQUIOS-Pre4m now offers Dutch cut and gang run capabilities. Many smaller sheets having a different grain direction can be cut from the same parent sheet.

In addition, Screen improved EQUIOS-Pre4m’s versioning features to allow for layered PDF import. Versioning is particularly useful in the production of documents where individual portions are modified to produce customized documents for a specific market.
