Screen Truepress Jet520ZZ Wins Must See ems Designation
Tuesday 05. October 2010 - Screen (USA) will unveil a brand-new inkjet web press platform designed for economical, high-volume production and superior print quality.
At Graph Expo 2010. Screen developed the Truepress Jet520ZZ the flagship of the Truepress Jet520 series of continuous-feed, single-pass inkjet printing systems and winner of a 2010 Must See ems designation at this years Executive Outlook in response to the growing trend toward high-end, full-color on-demand printing.
With a top speed of 721.7 feet per minute (approximately 190,000 8 1/2 x 11-inch color pages per hour), the Truepress Jet520ZZ produces direct mail, books, magazines and other high-volume work that traditionally has been printed offset. When used for personalized catalogs, color bank statements, technical manuals and newsletters, it can improve response rates of printed materials, reduce costs and increase product demand.
The Truepress Jet520 is the industrys leading color variable inkjet web press, with more than 200 presses sold worldwide since its launch in 2006. The Truepress Jet520ZZ incorporates Screens acclaimed drop-on-demand inkjet technology, color management, patented screening algorithms and stable paper transport system. The press offers a maximum imaging resolution of 720 dpi x 720 dpi. The grayscale printheads produce an apparent resolution of 1,440 dpi.
The Truepress Jet520ZZ handles rolls of inkjet paper, standard paper, uncoated paper, and matte and gloss coated stock up to 22.4 inches wide. In addition, the Truepress Jet520ZZ is equipped with the EQUIOS workflow RIP as a controller and is capable of the latest variable processing required for high-speed printing.
The Truepress Jet520ZZ will be demonstrated in Screen (USA) booth #1637 at Graph Expo, October 3-6 at Chicagos McCormick Place.
