DuPont Imvelo: Sustainable Solution for Large-Format Printing

Monday 04. October 2010 - DuPont Graphics recently introduced DuPont Imvelo at the FESPA fair in Munich, Germany. DuPont Imvelo is a new product range designed to meet emerging trends in the large format printing marketplace.

FESPA is the world’s most important event for digital, screen and textile printing. More than 650 exhibitors showcased their innovative products to 21,000 visitors from 130 participating countries. The DuPont exhibit featured large banners printed on Tyvek, Imvelo and Imvelo Deco, as well as samples of the company’s entire wide-format product range.
DuPont Imvelo represents a sustainable solution for large format printing. The product’s substrate is made of pure polypropylene (PP) and, is 100% recyclable — a meaningful advantage for today’s environmentally-conscious users. It offers excellent printability on ultraviolet (UV) and screen printing machines. It also offers an unusually bright, white surface, which is very light, easy to convert and is tear- and puncture-resistant. It withstands all weather conditions and is UV-resistant for more than one year.
“The DuPont Imvelo product range can be used for all kinds of outdoor and indoor banners, displays, wall coverings and decoration, if flame retardancy is not required,” said Jean-François Teneul, DuPont Graphics sales and marketing manager. “Our potential customers are very excited about this latest innovative product offering.
“Through our FESPA participation, we acquired a better understanding of the market needs and trends in this industry,” Jean-François said. “This knowledge will be very valuable for further product development in the large format industry.”
