Uwe Rohrhoff New Chief Executive Officer of Gerresheimer AG
Monday 21. June 2010 - Uwe Rohrhoff becomes the new Chief Executive Officer of Gerresheimer AG on June 22, 2010. Uwe Rohrhoff, who has been a member of the Management Board since 2003, was appointed to his new position by the Supervisory Board in March. Uwe Rohrhoff (48) succeeds Dr. Axel Herberg, who headed the business for ten years as CEO and is changing to the Supervisory Board on September 1, 2010.

Uwe Rohrhoff, a business graduate, works for Gerresheimer for 20 years and was recently responsible for the Moulded Glass Division and the Life Science Research Division. In addition, he has played a decisive role in the expansion of Gerresheimer’s US and Chinese business. Uwe Rohrhoff comments: “We will continue in the future to focus on the successful business in the field of pharma and healthcare. At the same time we want to push ahead with inter nationalization. We are very well positioned and solidly financed to achieve further profitable growth in the future.”
As CEO, Uwe Rohrhoff will continue to manage the Moulded Glass Divi sion directly. On the Management Board, Dr. Max Raster takes over responsibility for the Life Science Research Division in addition to the Tubular Glass Division.
Uwe Rohrhoff joined Gerresheimer in 1991 and initially worked in controlling. He became CEO of the US subsidiary Gerresheimer Glass Inc. in 2001 and has many years’ experience of international busi ness management.
Dr. Axel Herberg is leaving Gerresheimer under his own volition after his successful work as CEO. Dr. Herberg served the company for twenty years, fifteen of them as a member of the Management Board and ten as CEO. The Supervisory Board thanks him for his outstanding achievements and successful colla bo ration over the past years. It welcomes Dr. Axel Herberg as a new member of the Supervisory Board, to which he was elected by the Annual General Meeting on April 29, 2010 by a large majority of votes.
