Mimakis new UJF-3042 triggered enthusiasm at PSI Dusseldorf

January 2010 - Mimaki Europe B.V. , a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting machines for the sign/graphics, industrial and textile/apparel markets has premiered its new desktop-sized industrial inkjet printer UJF-3042 at the PSI promotional product show in Düsseldorf last week.
The compact machine triggered enthusiasm from visitors and co-exhibitors alike. Mimakis modest booth has been blackened with curious individuals and a number of exhibitors have been inspired so much by UJF-3042s possibilities that they took the opportunity to have their own exhibits, such as yearplanners, diaries, USB-sticks, signs, etc. printed upon with their logos and other designs.
The new UV LED technology employing industrial inkjet printer UJF-3042 can print up to a size of 300 x 420 mm (A3) and 50 mm thickness on a multitude of different substrates including heat-sensitive media. In addition the “cool” UV LED technology requires only 50 per cent of energy (in comparison to normal UV lamps) and its lifetime is as much as about 5 times longer. A resolution of 1440 x 1200 dpi as well as Mimakis Spray Suppressor System and other functionalities support the high image quality. The ability to print white (over and underprint) enables bright vivid images with excellent details.
